ABOUT THE QUEEN

 

In her words...

 

Knowing I wanted to own my own business, I had no idea of what I really wanted to pursue. I knew I loved good food and making people smile. Funnel Cake Queen started as a daydream while I was working as a correctionS and psychiatric nurse. I would have random cravings for funnel cakes that I could only get at the state fair or occasional trip to an amusement park. I wanted funnel cakes more than once a year and I knew I wasn’t the only one. 

 

In 2015, during a visit to Jacksonville, I attended the Downtown Art Walk, a monthly, outdoor event featuring local artists, musicians, and food trucks. That’s when I knew...Jacksonville needed a funnel cake food truck! 

 

Fast forward to February 2017, I officially traded in my scrubs for an apron and served my very first customer from my very own food truck! Funnel Cake Queen’s name quickly gained traction and became one of the most popular dessert trucks in Northeast Florida. 

 

In 2019, we opened our first dine-in location in Regency Square Mall Food Court. In 2020, COVID19 hit and we sold our food truck in order to focus on enhancing and expanding our brand.

 

Now you don't have to wait for the carnival to come to town to indulge your sweet tooth with a hot, fresh funnel cake. Add ice cream, whipped cream, fresh fruit, nuts, crushed Oreos, caramel, chocolate,  and more! We even have deep-fried Oreos, Twinkies, brownies and cheesecake!
